Over the years, the IAQG has collaborated closely with AABs to ensure auditors fulfill the criteria for conducting certification audits in aviation, space, and defense. As the IAQG continues to assess and streamline our processes, we are moving to an internally managed model called IAQG Authentication.
IAQG Authentication will reduce the variation of multiple processes and further ensure global consistency, standardized controls, and uniform expertise across our auditor community. This move will continue to elevate the quality of the scheme. Additionally, it enhances auditor connections to the standards community through direct access to the IAQG and fosters more consistent interpretation of requirements.
To facilitate this shift, please refer to the launch timeline below.
- Late Q2 2026: Authentication records within OASIS will be frozen, and all active auditor authentications will remain recognized by the IAQG until the end of the Freeze Period, regardless of their expiry dates.
- During the Freeze Period: All auditors listed as qualified in the OASIS database (AA or AEA) will be eligible to complete the online existing auditor recognition process and opt in to continued recognition with IAQG Authentication. Any auditors seeking new authentications will be able to apply with IAQG Authentication during this time. Due to the lockdown tied to the existig auditor recognition window, any approved applications submitted to IAQG Authentication will take effect within OASIS in Q3 (after the Freeze Period).
- Late Q3 2026 (after the Freeze Period): Only auditors recognized by IAQG Authentication will have their status reflected in OASIS and will be eligible to continue conducting audits.
