IAQG Authentication has released several key updates to support auditors and organizations as they prepare for upcoming changes to the authentication process.
Freeze Period Confirmed
The IAQG Authentication freeze period has now been confirmed as 18 June 2026 through 3 September 2026. As previously communicated, your authentication status must be active in OASIS as of 18 June 2026 to remain eligible within the IAQG Certification Scheme throughout the freeze period.
Dates to Remember
18 June 2026 20:00 EDT (UTC -4) | Freeze Period Begins No Authentication changes can be made in OASIS |
| 24 June 2026 | Existing Auditor Recognition Window Opens Time period for existing auditors to request recognition to continue auditing under IAQG Authentication |

| 3 September 2026 | Freeze Period Ends All Recognized Auditors will be listed in OASIS and on their IAQG Authentication Dashboard |
Costs and Qualifications
Costs associated with IAQG Authentication, along with qualification requirements to maintain your authentication, are now available and summarized below. Auditors are encouraged to review these carefully to understand how the new centralized authentication model may impact their status and ongoing eligibility.
Authentication Levels
IAQG Authentication uses a tiered system to denote types of auditor authentication across first-party, second-party, and third-party audit scenarios within the ASD industry. Auditors at lower “levels” of authentication will have a path to “advance” to higher levels.
| Authentication Level | Classification | Eligible for Recognition (if applicable) |
| Level 1 | Authenticated ASD Third-Party Lead Auditor/Audit Team Leader | Aerospace Experience(d) Auditor from 9104/3:2007 |
| Level 2 | Authenticated ASD Third-Party Audit Team Member | Aerospace Auditor from 9104/3:2007 |
Applicable Standards
IAQG Authentication supports authentication to multiple standards recognized by the IAQG.
| Standard | Title |
| 9100 | Quality Management Systems – Requirements for Aviation, Space, and Defense Organizations |
| 9110 | Quality Management Systems – Requirements for Aviation Maintenance Organizations |
| 9120 | Quality Management Systems – Requirements for Aviation, Space, and Defense Distributors |
Pricing Schedule
The table below discloses ongoing authentication fees and applications for initial authentication and advancement, which are subject to an application fee.
| IAQG Authentication Application Fees (as of June 2026) | |
| Initial Application for Level 1 or 2 Authentication (per applicable standard) | $500 USD (at submission) |
| Application for Advancement from Level 2 to Level 1 Authentication (per applicable standard)* | $500 USD (at submission) |
| Annual Authentication (Ongoing Authentication) | |
| 9100 (Level 1 or 2) | $325 USD |
| 9110 (Level 1 or 2) | $200 USD |
| 9120 (Level 1 or 2) | $200 USD |
Prices are subject to change. All fees are in USD; payments may be converted to a local currency by the payer’s bank or credit card provider at the then-applicable exchange rates, including any provider-imposed fees. The price of each item or service does not include any taxes or fees. The applicant is responsible for paying any bank fees, transfer fees or taxes incurred when remitting payment.
* Advancement application availability scheduled for Q4 2026.
IAQG Authentication must receive fee payment prior to processing an application. The fee is non-refundable, whether the application is approved or denied, so applicants are strongly recommended to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria prior to applying.
During the freeze period, IAQG Authentication will be focused on Authentication Recognition and Ongoing Authentication specifically for those auditors whose anniversary dates fall during the freeze period. Applications for New IAQG Authentications (Level 1 or 2) will not begin processing until after the freeze period.
Fees for Existing Auditor Recognition
Application Fees are NOT required during the Existing Auditor Recognition process. However, the timing of Annual Maintenance Fee payments is based on the expiry day and month of each recognized authentication. In some cases, an annual fee payment will be required as part of the Existing Auditor Recognition process. Details will be shared during the Recognition process.
Requirements for Ongoing Authentication
For Ongoing Auditor Authentication, there are zero Audit days and zero CPD hours required during the first authentication year (1 July 2026 through 30 June 2027). Any audit days and CPD hours obtained during this time period will carry over to meet the 2027 auditor authentication year. Ongoing Auditor Authentication requirements for the first authentication year will be announced in the early third quarter of 2026.
Reminder: Actions to Take Now
To ensure a smooth transition, auditors should:
- Follow up on any pending renewals or applications with their Auditor Authentication Body (AAB).
- Complete renewals immediately if your authentication will expire on or before 18 June 2026.
- Confirm your authentication status in OASIS is current as of 18 June 2026.
- Prepare login credentials and required information for the Existing Auditor Recognition Process
Bottomline
If your authentication is active at the start of the freeze period, it will remain recognized through 3 September 2026, regardless of its listed expiration date. After the freeze period concludes, only auditors recognized through IAQG Authentication will remain eligible to conduct audits within the scheme.
