The May 9 OASIS system update delivered several targeted enhancements designed to reduce manual effort, improve clarity during technical reviews, and strengthen audit data quality for Certification Bodies (CBs). These improvements directly address common points of confusion and streamline key certification and audit workflows.
Certificate Dates Now Auto‑Populate
To eliminate duplicate data entry and reduce errors, certification dates now automatically flow from the certification record to the certificate. When a standard is selected, the Issue, Decision, and Valid Until dates are populated automatically based on the certification data.
Some CB users initially noted that these fields were not editable. This behavior is intentional—the dates are system‑controlled to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Audit Times and Visits Now Viewable During Technical Review
CB technical reviewers can now open and review both Audit Times and Audit Visits directly within the technical review process. This enhancement improves transparency and helps reviewers validate audit inputs without switching workflows.
CBs are reminded to ensure that on‑site, off‑site, and visit data are completed for every audit, as this information supports accurate audit records, reports, NCR statistics, and auditor‑level metrics.

Expanded Audit Team Participant Tracking
Auditors can now add additional audit participants directly within the audit record. This includes trainees, observers, translators, and other supporting roles, ensuring a more complete and accurate audit history.
This enhancement supports better traceability and aligns audit records more closely with the actual audit team composition.

These May 9 OASIS updates reflect continued collaboration between the OASIS development team and the CB community, with a shared goal of simplifying processes, reducing rework, and improving data quality across the ICOP scheme.
For additional details, CBs are encouraged to review the updated release notes and knowledgebase materials within OASIS.
